Description
xA worn or cracked range hood control knob isn’t just cosmetic — when the knob loses its grip on the shaft, you lose the ability to control fan speed and lighting entirely. Smoke and cooking odors build up, ventilation stops responding, and the knob either spins freely or snaps off completely. The 30360004 is the genuine OEM Broan-Nutone replacement control knob in black — a direct fit that restores full fan and light control instantly.
⚠️ Symptoms of a Failed Range Hood Knob
- Knob spins freely without changing fan speed or light setting
- Knob cracked, chipped, or broken off entirely
- Fan or light stuck on one setting and won’t adjust
- Knob feels loose or pulls away from the control panel
- Visible damage to the knob shaft grip or D-bore insert

💡 Pro Tip — Check the Shaft Before Ordering:
Before ordering, confirm whether your range hood uses a D-shaped shaft or a round shaft — the knob bore must match. Look at the existing knob’s back face or the exposed shaft if the knob is already missing. A D-bore knob on a round shaft (or vice versa) will spin freely even when new. If your control panel switch itself is damaged, the knob replacement alone won’t fix the issue — the switch assembly may also need replacement.

⚙️ Installation Notes
- Skill Level: Beginner-friendly — tool-free installation in most cases
- Disconnect power to the range hood at the breaker before handling any controls
- Pull the old knob straight off the shaft — do not twist
- Press the new knob firmly onto the shaft until fully seated and aligned with the control markings
- Restore power and test all speed and light settings before finishing
